Elysa Underwood, MS, CCC-SLP, earned a Master's Degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Hayward State University (currently Cal State East Bay) in 2001. Over the span of her 20-year career, Elysa has practiced in a variety of settings, providing both assessment and treatment, while supporting children with communication challenges across a broad age range. Elysa has taken a special interest in working in the area of early intervention, with focused training in early communication development and communication challenges related to autism. She enjoys helping children with a variety of speech sound disorders, language processing, and expressive language needs, as well as social pragmatic disorders related to autism and other challenges impacting communication with others.
